T.V. Time Machine

If I had the power to bring back one of my favorite childhood t.v. shows what would I bring back & why?

Well I do have that power, it’s called supply and demand.  If the demand for something is great enough someone will supply it.  There is one show I would love to see back on t.v. today, “Alf.”  I loved that show as a kid, his sarcasm was classic.  The reason I’d bring back that show is simple, because they don’t make t.v. like they use to.

Burrow Through The Boro!

So what’s happening In Statesboro?  Georgia Southern is the best thing happening in Statesboro.  Without the universities there I’m afraid things would be dismal.  Oh, there are of course the bars (it’s funny how those two go hand in hand), but besides playing “cat-&-mouse” with the authorities, there isn’t much going on…

1st Yr. of college

Wow, I hardly remember my first year of college.  I can say that perhaps I spent more time than I should in the student lounge playing pool and Tekken.  The sad thing is, as much time as I spent on those to activities I’m not that good at either.  Well…  Maybe once upon a time I could hold my own in Tekken.

Read This…

The top reading material I feel which will help me in PR is:  The Bible, The Associated Press Handbook, The News, my pr textbooks, and my pay stubs, -”Hey they don’t call it work for nothing.”  I haven’t read any of the books on the list of “10 books every PR pro should read” that Molli Megasko gives in Ragan’s PR Daily.  I know the Dragon Tattoo books are popular, but they don’t interest me.  If you read the local news you see mysteries all the time, police are looking for this or that.  There’s a real life mystery happening every second somewhere.  Honestly, the only book I’m interested in reading is “Are You There Vodka?  It’s me, Chelsea.”

Dreams Are for Suckers -”Make It Happen”

So what is my dream job?  Ever since I can remember I’ve always wanted to pilot an aircraft. I could imagine getting up everyday of my life and not being able to wait to get to work.  That dream went up in flames “literally” on 9-11.  Okay, that’s a lame excuse.  With all the bankruptcies, layoffs, and competition from military/unemployed pilots I could still do it if I truly desired.  How’s that for PMA (Positive Mental Attitude)?  In all seriousness though, stop dreaming, and make it happen.  I’ve walked off the path to my dream job, but I can still fly, and plan to.  Just not for a living.  In short, dreams are for suckers; action is for achievers!
